Heatmaps can tell a pretty complex story pretty quickly – and there are few things more complex than the cultural melting pot that is Landan-town.
This map, built by Visualmetaphors from ONS data (so data that's pretty much publically available), is a great example of this.
It's especially interesting that the four different groups referenced have been pulled apart, rather than visualised in the same map – it makes things much clearer, and it isn't too difficult to mentally compare the different maps to find out where, for want of a better phrase, the 'white' and 'non-white' areas are.
It definitely suggests that different racial groups do still congregate together, even in this time of relative equality.
Heat-mapping at its best.
